The current process of tuition reimbursement is lengthy and the requirements are meticulous, often discouraging members from completing the process. Given the increasing amount of service members enrolling in the VANG and educational endeavors, the VANG needed a easy, trackable, and scalable way to manage tuition reimbursement.
There are existing tuition application management systems, but many do not integrate the nuances of VANG reimbursement. Given the governmental aspect of the organization, the VANG needs a system to abides by both service member requirements as well as those of governmental security.
Our team built the State Tuition Reimbursement Program (STAP) application in Turanto, integrating existing databases of member information, acceptable educational institutions, and modeling the entire reimbursement process from initial request to payment processing.
Given a universal trend towards fully functional mobile applications, we developed a fully customized mobile application for STAP. The mobile app utilizes visual design principles to encourage the service member to use the app, therefore encouraging the use of tuition reimbursement.
To mitigate the issue of many members being unaware of the reimbursement benefits, or being driven away by the arduous process, we created a commercial website to market our application and provide step-by-step instructions to ensure user success.
